Who am I?

Hello! I'm Calin Baenen – also known as KattyTheEnby – a programmer that was born on October 30th, 2006.
I enjoy programming, helping people, and, occasionally, playing games.

Programming is a hobby I find fun, and I hope to make it my career.
I can program in languages such as Java, C++, Rust, and others!
(My favorite is Rust.)

How I Got Into Coding

I've known for a long time that I've wanted to be a programmer – specifically, since I was eight or nine.

As it was in the mid-2010s, Minecraft was popular, and I had a copy.
One day, I found myself in File Explorer, with one of the Minecraft .jar files and a copy of Notepad++ – and, before I knew it, I was looking at a mess of random characters, trying to understand how that made the game work.

Eventually, I found out about binary, and then I learned about human-readable code.

By the time I was eleven, I was learning HTML and Java with the help of Sololearn.

I am queer – more specifically, I am pansexual and nonbinary.

I am a cat furry, which is where the username KattyTheEnby comes from.

I am polyamorous.
